Sushi me rollin’ 🍣❣️

I can never pass up an opportunity to go out for sushi or take a few rolls to-go. These vegetarian rolls from Aroowah are some of my favourites! 🤗

• Yam Avocado Roll • Miss Vegetarian Roll (Pickled squash, cucumber, avocado, asparagus, & yam)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Both of these rolls were made with brown rice. When possible, I choose to order brown rice as opposed to white rice on my sushi because it is a whole grain – meaning that it contains all parts of the grain (the bran, germ, and endosperm). White rice undergoes a refining process that removes the bran and germ (which contains the majority of its B Vitamins, minerals, photochemicals, and fiber). For this reason, brown rice contains significantly more fiber, Vitamins B1 and B6, magnesium, phosphorus, manganese, and selenium. PLUS…I personally think that brown rice has more flavour than white rice.

Disclaimer: I am a pescatarian and I often order a salmon or crab roll in addition to a vegetarian one!
